Between 18th January and 16th February, we have the pleasure of exhibiting at ‘Roots’ an event hosted by Brantwood.

Brantwood is perched high above Coniston Water, an area we feel very lucky to have on our doorstep. Our close proximity is not the only connection, it was home to John Ruskin for the last 28 years of his life. Ruskin played a major role in the Arts and Crafts Movement which has provided inspiration for a number of our designs, however the main influence the Arts and Crafts Movement has on us is the way we create – by hand, using the finest materials.

Brantwood offers a fascinating insight into the world of John Ruskin. It remains a place of inspiration to this day with displays and activities in the house, gardens and estate which reflect the wealth of cultural associations with Ruskin’s legacy.

At the exhibition you can expect to see a variety of work from local, Cumbrian workshops all producing fine furniture.
